New features alert!
Hey there, wonderful supporters!
Since far more people subscribe to these newsletters than have joined my Locals community, I wanted to let you know about some new features and perks I’m offering members of that community. It’s only $8/month to join.
Starting tomorrow (Saturday, December 2), Locals members will gain early access to new episodes. Monday, December 4’s episode features Gender Clinic News journalist Bernard Lane. It’s coming out on Locals tomorrow, 2 days early, for subscribers only.
I’m especially excited about the following week’s episode, featuring a woman I consider to be like a mentor to me: Heather Heying! That one, scheduled for December 11, will also come out early on Locals. I can’t wait to hear what you think of our conversation.
I’ve also started a Sharecast on Marco Polo for Locals subscribers. Marco Polo is free to download, and the Sharecast is complimentary for supporting Locals members. I’m experimenting with Sharecast as a way to connect with my audience more intimately. Join the community to gain access to the Sharecast, test it out, and let me know what you think. Your feedback will help me shape future offerings, including add-ons to coaching services.
About coaching and consulting
Speaking of those services: I’ll be on vacation December 22-January 16. During this time, episodes will still come out, but I won’t be seeing clients or responding to emails. If you’ve ever wanted to hop on my calendar to discuss coaching, networking, or referrals, book a discovery call now before I disappear for a few weeks.
I also added a new type of consulting service I call simply a “priority phone call.” Sometimes people reach out to me desperate to pick my brain on a particular topic urgently and don’t want to go through the usual process of booking a discovery call, completing intake forms, scheduling and so forth. And coordinating schedules can be tricky. So I opened up some extra times I’m not usually working to take urgent phone calls for those who don’t mind paying a premium for evening or weekend availability or for the ability to cut to the chase. This isn’t for everyone, and it’s certainly not therapy, but it might be right for some occasions.
Another community worth joining is Do No Harm
They are a medical ethics organization working to eliminate the harm that so-called gender affirming care for minors and political ideologies in medicine are causing.
Do No Harm is made up of thousands of members across the country, from doctors, to nurses, to policy makers, to concerned parents who see what’s happening at practitioners across the country and are waving a red flag.
Membership is free, and you get unlimited access to information from experts, on-the-ground updates from people working in medicine or statehouses to take a stand, and collaboration with other thinkers.

A sneak peak at 2024
It’s that time of year: I’m starting to reflect on the year behind and the one ahead. I’ll be preparing my thoughts for a New Years Day episode. One thing I can tell you now, though, is that you can expect to see returning guests from past episodes come back in new configurations in 2024! Join Locals to share your thoughts on who you most want to see return, and which prior guests you’d like to see conversing with one another in groups, and about what. I’ve posted a question for Locals subscribers soliciting this feedback; I want to hear your thoughts!
But please, no more email 🫣
I receive an overwhelming amount of email I can never stay on top of (despite my absolute fondness for Superhuman), so I’ve made it really easy to book a discovery call instead of emailing me. I also promise that Locals is the one place I will respond to questions if you leave them in the designated threads. Yes, I understand the awkwardness of saying this in an email that’s filling up YOUR inbox, but I promise I’m not expecting a response and you can go ahead and archive this as soon as you’re done with it. Hope this helps!
All the best,
Stephanie Winn

Thank you for your important work, Stephanie. I have learned a lot from your interviews and am glad to have supported you. But, since you have shifted your focus to your ROGD Parents work, I have decided to end my support here at Locals. Godspeed.
I want to thank each of you for your time here, encouragement, and donations.
You've probably noticed it's pretty quiet around here, without much happening. In contrast, the ROGD Repair Course and Community, for parents of gender-confused youth, has been getting a lot of active engagement. It addresses a powerful need and gives its participants a lot to work with.
So, I've been thinking about migrating the perks of Locals membership over to ROGD Repair and closing this site down after a while. If I do that, it means ROGD Repair members get access to new episodes early, and opportunities to ask questions of future guests.
Please feel free to share your feedback and thoughts on this. I don't expect to see much come in, since it's so quiet here. That, itself, would be feedback for me to consider too.
If you want to join ROGD Repair but haven't yet, and have been a loyal Locals subscriber or otherwise donated, please email [email protected] and I'll make sure you have a coupon ...
