Feedback needed: help shape the direction of this community

Hi folks,

Thank you for joining and supporting this community! I need your help figuring out where to go from here.

As you may know, I started this community because I get a lot of messages, including small requests for help or commentary on this or that topic. Locals was meant to serve as a way for me to sort and filter the influx of communication, while creating a sort of gated community where it would be safe for people to chat amongst themselves, or ask questions that I could answer for multiple people simultaneously.

Although I've redirected people here as THE place to go to ask me a question, and many of you have joined and supported, it's turned out to be very quiet here.

The original idea I had was to create a weekly-ish thread where anyone who wants to ask me a question can drop it in the comments and trust that I'll respond to it in the next livestream. However, few people have taken me up on this. So I'm left with a dilemma: tons of emails, DMs, comments, and even voicemails with people wanting some little bit of communication from me... and yet no questions to answer in the one place that I promised I would respond.

So, what are you hoping for here? What inspired you to join? What direction might I take this in?

In case this post jogged your memory about a question, I will do a new separate "drop your questions here for the next livestream" thread.

Thank you!

Thank you for your important work, Stephanie. I have learned a lot from your interviews and am glad to have supported you. But, since you have shifted your focus to your ROGD Parents work, I have decided to end my support here at Locals. Godspeed.

Should I migrate the perks of Locals to ROGD Repair?

I want to thank each of you for your time here, encouragement, and donations.

You've probably noticed it's pretty quiet around here, without much happening. In contrast, the ROGD Repair Course and Community, for parents of gender-confused youth, has been getting a lot of active engagement. It addresses a powerful need and gives its participants a lot to work with.

So, I've been thinking about migrating the perks of Locals membership over to ROGD Repair and closing this site down after a while. If I do that, it means ROGD Repair members get access to new episodes early, and opportunities to ask questions of future guests.

Please feel free to share your feedback and thoughts on this. I don't expect to see much come in, since it's so quiet here. That, itself, would be feedback for me to consider too.

If you want to join ROGD Repair but haven't yet, and have been a loyal Locals subscriber or otherwise donated, please email [email protected] and I'll make sure you have a coupon ...

Questions for Warren Smith

This guy is brilliant. Love his stuff that I've seen so far; will be watching more this week. Check out his channel if you're not familiar with him yet. I'm interviewing Monday Sept 23.
